I just watched this movie for the first time … and I just want to say one thing:
- While on the one hand yes it is inspiring & a great advertisement for why we spend money on space exploration …
- I want to know why we don’t treat the rescue of all people & species this way?
Think about it … it’s not the first movie with this message “leave no one behind” … but this message is a lie.
Where is the equal push to end poverty? We can get spacecraft to other planets, but we can’t feed everyone, house them, give them a dignified existence? Bullshit … the fact is certain elements of society are choosing not to … and everyone who thinks this is ok is an unimaginative cunt who should be composted to grow potatoes so these innocent people can survive right here on Earth.
End of rant … but contradict me I dare you motherfucker.
