Update – July 20th 2017: book manuscript – feedback wanted

I’ve now written a little over 50,000 words and will soon complete a first draft of parts 1 & 2. So before moving on to parts 3 & 4, I’d like to get some feedback from any close friends whom are reading my blog.

I know it’s a big ask to read through that much stuff, and at most that’s only 1/4 of the end product, but if you do have the time, please write to me, as I’d like to get multiple perspectives, especially from those whom do not have any particular scientific background, because I’d really like to know whether you find this crash course of parts 1 & 2 to be reasonably easy to follow; however I would also like to hear from those who do have such backgrounds, as I’m sure they’ll be able to help with respect to convincing those already educated, as to these alternative interpretations and new consequences of what many of them probably believe to be evidence of completely different conclusions. Update – July 18th 2017: New Laptop

I’ve just taken the compensation I received for losing my things in the floods after cyclone debbie, some other money I was previously gifted by a relative whom took pity on me ( and which I managed not to spend ), and almost the same total amount again which I gradually saved over the course of a couple of years by trying desperately never to spend anything … and I’ve finally paid for my old laptop to be replaced with something a bit better … it still needs a few upgrades, but it was too painful to keep myself on such a restricted budget from an already impoverished beginning, and I had to get a temporary rent reduction also which I now have to pay back. Update – July 1st 2017: Book manuscript progress

Ok, the structure of the book is now largely set. It has 3 parts ( past, present, future – for want of better titles ), although I may change this to 4 parts, because the first 2 sections of part one aren’t really about the past, they’re about developing the language and reference framework required in order to understand the rest of the book – ie they are a crash course in logic, maths, modelling, and science. Status update – June 17th 2017: Book Manuscript

I’ve started writing a book on this work, which comprises both some relevant history and science very different than you would have seen from groups like The Venus Project, The Zeitgeist Movement, or anyone else. The book then progresses from that background material into an analysis of the current state of the world, arguments for how the past got us to the present, and why. Then finally the book goes into detail of the vision, transition strategy, systems, and predictions for a proposed hypothetical future if we follow this roadmap. Update: April 10th 2017 – wiki.open-empire.org started

On the main page of this blog, you’ll see a few terms are now highlighted with an underline, and if you hover the cursor over then you’ll see a tooltip telling you that the term underlined has a wiki page ( which will open in a new tab if you click it ).

You can also go directly to this site using the subdomain URL: wiki.open-empire.org

I haven’t crested many entries yet, but I’m going to start defining some simple lay-person’s understandings of the concepts used across the website. Continue reading “Update: April 10th 2017 – wiki.open-empire.org started”

Update: April 4th 2017 – what remains of my things after cyclone Debbie

The 2 tool boxes, the plastic tub, the carboard box, the shopping bag, the smaller backpack behind it ( the big backpack is someone else’s ), and the travel bag underneath it are mine … I’m not sure what’s salvageable from that, very little will be worth the cost of transporting elsewhere.
